Learning Objective: The student will be able to demonstrate competence by using effective job interviewing skills.
Standards: 9.2?
Starter: Engage students in discussion. Have they ever been on a job interview? What questions were they asked? How did they feel? If students have not been on a job interview, what questions do you think that you will be asked?
Methods/Materials: View You Tube “Interview Do’s and Don’ts”. Distribute 3x5 cards each with one question. Work with a partner to write down key answers and ideas that were brought out in the video. Illustrate a cartoon of question emphasizing the key point.
Each group comes to front of room to share their question with the answer.
Assessment: Successful completion of notes and one question/answer to an interview question.
